How credits are used and counted
Amplemarket users can expend credits in several ways. Here is a breakdown of all the ways credits can be used, as well as some important notes that will help you get the most out of your credits.
First, a few notes: there are three types of credits. The first kind is email credits. You’ll see these referred to as either email credits, or just plain credits. The second type is phone credits. These were previously known as premium credits. Phone credits refer to the credits you use when you reveal or enrich a phone number. The last is contact tracking credits. Contact tracking credits refer to the credits utilized to track an individual with Amplemarket's Contact Tracking system, in order to be notified of promotions or job changes.
Another thing to note is that once a user has revealed a lead’s contact information or enriched their information from any part of Amplemarket, the user is not re-charged credits to contact the same person again, or use their information again.
From the Amplemarket Searcher:
When using the Amplemarket searcher, users are able to reveal a prospect’s contact information directly from the searcher. Revealing their email uses one credit, and revealing a phone number uses one phone credit. Here's what it will look like in the searcher.
Once you have revealed a prospect’s contact information, you will not be charged again for adding them to a sequence. Reminder: there is never a charge to add prospects to a customer profile! Amplemarket does not enrich their information (read: use credits) until they are put into a sequence.
By Downloading a CSV:
If you create a Customer Profile in Amplemarket and want to export those leads to a CSV file, by default you’ll use one email credit per lead. This includes enrichment and email validation.
You can also choose to enrich their phone numbers, which uses one phone credit per lead.
By Uploading a CSV:
You are able to upload leads to your Amplemarket account via CSV. There are a few different ways to achieve this with regards to credits.
1. You want to enrich the information, and validate a list of email addresses. When you select both of these boxes, you’ll use one credit per lead. Amplemarket charges 0.5 of a credit per lead to enrich, and another 0.5 credit per lead to validate email. When you add a CSV file to be uploaded, Amplemarket will automatically detect the number of leads in your file, and tell you the maximum number of credits being consumed performing this action.
2. You want to enrich the leads, without validating their email addresses. You’ll see the maximum credit consumption prior to uploading and enriching.
3. You want to validate a list of email addresses, without enriching other data. Again, you can see the maximum credit consumption when validating.
4. You don’t want to enrich or validate the information you’re uploading. This doesn’t cost any credits.
Once you have enriched a contact’s data via CSV upload, you will not be charged again to reach out to this lead via an Amplemarket sequence.
From the Amplemarket LinkedIn Extension:
1. Revealing contact information: You can enrich an individual’s email and phone number from the LinkedIn extension. Email reveals use one credit, and phone number reveals use one phone credit. If we do not find a phone number, the user is not charged a phone credit.
2.Exporting to CRM: Users can export a lead directly to their integrated CRM via the LinkedIn extension. This uses one credit per lead. If the lead’s information has been revealed previously, users will not be recharged for this action.
3. Adding a lead to a Customer Profile: You have the ability to add a lead into an Amplemarket Customer Profile from the LinkedIn extension. This uses one credit. Note: If you add a lead to a customer profile and send them to your CRM, you are only charged one credit, not two.
4. Starting a sequence: Sending a sequence directly from the LinkedIn extension uses one email credit. You will either have to reveal their information in order to send the sequence (uses one credit), or if it populates automatically, you already had their information. In this instance, no credits are used.
5. 'Export Leads' button: When a user employs the ‘export leads’ button on the LinkedIn extension to add lead’s who have liked or commented on a post to a Customer Profile, one credit is used per lead pulled from the original post. If a user decides to export the leads to CSV instead, no credits are used (because information is not enriched).
Contact Tracking Credits:
When a user selects from the searcher to "Track Contact(s)" or uploads a list into settings > contact tracking, a 1 contact tracking credit will be utilized per individual tracked. You can always disable contact tracking on an individual or enmasse to free up additional credits to be used for other tracking.
